egorized by the amount of
electronic fi ltering used to
ground, trash, and valued
metal alloys. Typically the
fewer the fi lters, the quicker
eral metals targets close to
tection depth in mineralized
ground quickly diminishes
with fewer fi lters. Audio
discrimination sounds are
reduced fi ltering. The more
the electronic fi lters the
better the detection depth
in mineralized ground and

GROUND FILTERING is adjustable with the
DFX. The fi rst two primary fi lters are contained
within the hardware (electrical parts). The remain-
ing fi lters are contained within the computer soft-
ware allowing full user adjustment.
The DFX GROUND FILTERING has an adjust-
ment range from 2 through 6. At a setting of 2
SWEEP SPEED is not adjustable (fi xed).
Selection of 2 fi lters allows for the best perfor-
mance in high trash areas of medium to low ground
mineralization. Combined with the RECOVERY
SPEED, and BOTTLECAP REJECTION the DFX
will pull some good targets from previously heavy
Selection of 3 fi lters will allow for better depth
performance than 2 in slightly higher ground miner-
Selection of 4 fi lters allows for the traditional high
end Whiteʼs fi ltering ideal for medium to high min-
Selection of 5 or 6 fi lters allows for new levels of
fi ltering for extreme ground conditions. Although
some models have been described as having 6 fi lters
in the past, two of those six were dedicated to visual
indications alone. The DFX 6 fi lter selection dedi-
cates all six to ground rejection, discrimination,
and audio detection. For those who search extreme
mineralized ground conditions the DFX with its
multifrequency salt/conductive mineral cancelation
and new levels of ground fi ltration will provide for
performance levels never before available.
